By accepting a quote and engaging UltraShine’s services, the client automatically accepts these Terms and Conditions.
These terms apply to one-off jobs (such as exit cleans, builders cleans, window cleans, carpet wash etc.) and recurring residential cleaning services. Different terms apply to ongoing commercial customers on signed contracts.
By accepting a quote or booking a service with UltraShine, the client agrees to the following terms.
Validity: All quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue and must be accepted in writing or by email.
Estimate Basis: Quotes are a cost estimate only, prepared from the information supplied by the customer at the time of quoting.
Additional Time & Work: If the actual job requires more time than estimated or if conditions differ from what was described (e.g. mould, heavy soiling, hidden damage, or other unforeseen issues), extra charges will apply for the additional time and work.
Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date.
Late Payment & Debt Collection: Invoices not paid within the specified terms will incur a late payment fee of 2% per week, compounding, until the balance is paid in full. UltraShine may engage debt collection services to recover overdue amounts, and the client will be responsible for all associated costs and legal fees.
Cancellations must be made with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of $60.00 + GST.
If the client is on site at the time of job completion, they are expected to complete a walkthrough with the UltraShine team and confirm they are happy with the job.
If the client is not on site, they have 24 hours to inspect the completed work and report any feedback to UltraShine. If any issues are raised that are within the original scope of work and within the allocated budget, UltraShine will provide one return visit at no extra cost to fix the reported issues.
Issues reported within 24 hours will be reviewed, and if UltraShine is at fault, corrections will be made free of charge. Issues raised after 24 hours fall outside our error window. Any rework or return visits will be charged at $60 per hour + GST, with a 1-hour minimum. Additional fees may apply for issues reported after 24 hours.
The quote assumes the property is in a reasonable and expected condition.
If the job is excessive, hazardous, or outside of standard scope, additional charges may apply.
The quote is based on UltraShine’s reasonable understanding of job duration. If the job takes significantly longer than anticipated, additional hourly charges will apply.
Extra tasks not included in the original quote will be invoiced separately.
The client agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the property, including water, electricity, and parking where required to complete the service. Failure to provide adequate access may result in rescheduling or additional charges.
For the safety and comfort of our team, all dogs and pets must be secured, crated, or kept outdoors while our staff are on site. Some team members may not feel comfortable working around animals. If pets are not secured and staff feel unsafe or uncomfortable, UltraShine reserves the right to postpone or cancel the clean, and additional charges may apply.
All prices quoted and invoiced are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
UltraShine is committed to maintaining a safe working environment for our team and clients. All work is carried out in accordance with New Zealand health and safety legislation, and our team is trained to follow safe work practices at all times.
UltraShine holds SiteWise certification and ensures that all staff understand and comply with safety procedures relevant to each job site.
If conditions are deemed unsafe, unhygienic, or pose a risk to our staff or contractors (including exposure to hazards, contamination, or inadequate site access), UltraShine reserves the right to refuse or cease work until the environment meets safe working standards.
UltraShine holds comprehensive Public Liability Insurance and Workmanship Coverage to protect both our clients and our team in the unlikely event of damage or loss during service delivery.
All UltraShine staff undergo security and reference checks before employment. We take client privacy, property, and safety seriously, and staff are instructed to report any incident or concern immediately.
